Why you should move to North Wales immediately

With excellent sports, local events, outdoor adventures, and beautiful landscape – just to name a few, there is no doubt that North Wales is a great place to settle down. Thankfully with apartments for sale North Wales could be your new home!

One reason to move would be for the heritage. North Wales is home to 2 of the 3 current world heritage sites in Wales - the Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd, and the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal crossing the Dee Valley, near Llangollen.

The four castles that form the world heritage site are; Harlech, Beaumaris, Conwy, and Caernarfon. These are the best examples of medieval military architecture in Europe, and are some remaining pieces of King Edwards plan to conquer Wales.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Canal is a historic masterpiece and transport development. This is also the greatest work from a collaboration of two of the biggest figures in Civil Engineering history: Thomas Telford and William Jessop.

That’s not all, the slate landscape in Gwynedd is being put forward as a World Heritage site. This includes the mountains of slate waste in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Bethesda, Llanberis, and the Nantlle valley. Here you can find abandoned quarry buildings and exposed slabs which are popular with walkers and climbers.

Speaking of Bethesda – this Zip World site makes North Wales home to the fastest zip line in the world ‘Velocity’! This attraction hurls you through the beautiful mountains of Snowdonia at and impressive 100mph - perfect for any adrenaline junkie.

But the fun doesn’t end there, another popular outdoor activity is the Rib Ride down the Menai Straits (the river which disconnects Anglesey from the mainland) or around Anglesey from Holyhead. Here, you can have a choice of taking in the beautiful views of the coastline comfortably, or you can opt for a thrill with the fastest Rib ride in the world. If you’re lucky you might even spot some dolphins!

One thing that makes North Wales so special is the local events. From the Conwy Feast, a popular food festival located within the castle walls, to the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza, which brings vintage attractions and entertainment to the area, there is a warming sense of community.

For any sport lovers, Colwyn Bay is home to Stadiwm Zipworld - Conwy County’s premier sport attraction. This often has local rugby matches on featuring teams such as RGC and the Wales U20s. The golf scene is also huge in North Wales, which the backdrops being some of the most picturesque in the country. A favourite being the course at Morfa Nefyn.

It also goes without saying that North Wales’ stunning landscape is a contributing factor. Snowdonia National Park’s snowy peaks, thick forests and sparkling lakes are a go-to for hiking, biking, climbing and anything in between. That’s not all, North Wales has 3 areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the Llyn Peninsula, the Clwydian Range and the Dee Valley.
